Maudie Elizabeth (Lail) Meyers

Maudie Elizabeth Lail Meyers, 92 of Granite Falls passed away at her residence on October 20, 2023.  Maudie was born on May 9, 1931 to the late Julius Sardis and Bessie Priscella Bolick Lail in Alexander County, NC.  She worked in the hosiery industry until she retired after working for over 35 years.  Maudie was a cherished lifelong member of Bethlehem Church of God.  Her grandfather Julius and his wife started the church.  Maudie loved all the members of the church.  She was the pianist at the church for 60 years.  Maudie loved singing in the choir and directed the annual Christmas play every year.  She loved spending time with her family

In addition to her parents, Maudie was preceded in death by one grandson, James William Meyers, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Maudie is survived by her daughter, Joy Meyers Mungro and fiance Rubin Jones, two granddaughters; Jessica Casey and fiance Shay Finger, Samantha Mungro, one grandson, Demetrius Finger, and many other cherished relatives and friends.
